Weekend Writing Warriors

Here are 8 sexy sentences from Evermore, the 3rd novel in my Descendants of Ra series. Say hello to Avery and Emeline.

Avery lay his head on her inner thigh and watched the quivering of her core subside. His dick throbbed, jealous of where his tongue had been. So close, but her words—No Sex—shut down that possibility. If this was the only moment that they would ever have, he would be grateful. Tonight was more than he’d ever hoped for.

He left the place he wanted to be, secured the towel around his hips, and stretched over her body. Her breaths were shallow, eyes a bit glassy, but then she blinked and focused on his face. So serious, he wanted to see ecstasy on her features, not the picture of doom that greeted him.

There is no such thing as a chance meeting.

There’s no room in Avery Nicolis’s life for an obsession, yet why else does he stalk Emeline Gamble. Lurking in the shadows, he hungers for a woman he can’t have. Between the secrets he guards and anarchy roiling in his soul, his only solace are his glimpses of Emeline. He will resist her, protect her from himself, and deny his desire to claim her heart.

Emeline Gamble was a Watcher for the Order—a secret society of women charged with monitoring the offspring of the gods. For months, she observed Avery Nicolis, an elite mercenary, Descendant of Ra, and enemy of the Order. Never knowing he had her in his crosshairs.

Trapped in a lie, Emeline is forced to accept Avery as her bodyguard. Compelled to spend time with him, she learns to care for his tortured soul and see the hero lurking beneath the assassin’s façade. But every word out of her mouth is a lie. Every action a betrayal. Because to save her family she is forced to accept a new assignment, deliver Avery Nicolis to the Goddess of Chaos, alive…

And do not fall in love with him.

Welcome to my Weekend Writing Warrior post. Today, I’m sharing eight sentences of my Eternity, the first novel in my Descendants of Ra series.

After only a few hours of sleep, Stella was sitting up, her head tilted back to catch the whiffs of air generated from the ceiling fan.

Roman closed his laptop, retrieved a bottle of water from the kitchen, and handed it to her. Perched on the edge of her coffee table, he waited while she rubbed the bottle across her sweaty brow and gave a throaty sigh before twisting the cap. Completely unaware of the sensual picture she presented, Stella tossed her head back, tipped the bottle to her lips and gulped until she drained it.

He ignored the lengthening poke of his cock and leaned closer to her. “We need to talk.”

Her eyes shifted around the room as she took a deep fortifying breath and squared her shoulders. “Go ahead.”

Cursed for 2000 years, Roman Nicolis has tracked his lovers’ soul through each reincarnation only to lose her horribly every time. Reclaiming their love is his only salvation. He’s been her friend, her father, her neighbor, but never again her lover . . . until now.

A late night walk home throws Stella Walker into the path of a killer. The last thing she remembers are the deep blue eyes of the man trying to kill her—and the first things she sees after a seven day coma are the same blue eyes in the handsome face of the man hired to protect her. Is he truly the owner of a security firm or the man who wants to finish her off? Is it fears she feels when Roman touches her or the memory of something sweeter?

Past secrets haunt them. An angry demon stalks them.

Roman will do anything to recover what they once had. Though Stella’s ruined childhood has made her close her heart and body to any man, he must get past the walls around her to gain her love and trust, for it will take their union to defeat an unexpected enemy sent from the Egyptian Gods. A man Romans respects and Stella trusts.

This is a snippet from Everlasting, the second Descendants of Ra novel.

His lips stroked up the column of her neck. She turned her head, giving him complete access to the sensitive skin. He chuckled, a deep, sensual sound that reverberated through her and made her want to hear him laugh.

A velvety touch circled the shell of her ear. She giggled and twisted her head to get away, bringing their lips within centimeters of contact. Through the fall of his hair, she glimpsed his eyes. Deep ocean blue. She struggled for air as she drowned in their watery depths.

Weekend Writing Warrior August 4, 2013

Here is a sample of Everlasting, the second book in my Descendants of Ra series.

          “Who’s the Vanquished?”

“Conquered warriors haunting my soul. They are my penance, my tormentors. The only peace I find is when I’m within one hundred feet of the one who balances my soul. You are that person.”

She was about to say she didn’t want to be that person when his gaze turned sultry, swept across her face, down the column of her throat and rested on her breasts. An internal switch flipped and she flushed. Her fingers stroked down the blade as images of him—of them—entwined and doing things she dreamed about flickered in her head. The positions, the thrusts, the licks, and touches, orgasms after orgasms, she, crying out his name.

Weekend Writing Warriors. 4/14/13

This is my first time post for Weekend Writing Warriors. I’m so glad to be here with a group of fantastic authors. This is an excerpt from Everlasting, coming soon.

Damn the Gods.

The feel of Alexis’  solid form blasted through Reign’s petrified center. He hadn’t realized how much he missed this. Human contact. The simple act of touching and being touched. Warmth and the softness of a woman. So long denied, now he feasted.

He buried his face in her mass of curly hair and inhaled jasmine and honey. A moan ripe with longing ripped from his throat and he fitted her lush curves more intimately to him.

I hope you’ve enjoyed it.
