Hello All. I’m excited to share a new Mid Week Tease. It’s a new year and 2016 will be awesome. My library of novels is growing, so I’m going to use January to highlight snippets of my first novel, Eternity: Descendants of Ra Book 1.

“Where are you taking me?”

“Somewhere safe.”

“Does that place exist?” Her lips twisted in a wry smile.

“It’s my job to make sure it does, at least for you.”

“Is that the only reason why you’re here, because it’s your job?” She shouldn’t have asked, but the words slipped out without a care for her pride.

“Why else would I be here? I’m a mercenary. I have a job to complete.” Monotone, his voice held no life, no passion.

Something in her heart broke. “Just a job?” Watery, her voice wavered.

“Just a job.” He turned his back on her.

Happy New Year! 2016 will be an awesome year. Today I’m sharing a sexy snippet from Eternity, the first novel in my Descendants of Ra series. Meet Roman and Stella.  He’s loved her for two thousand years, while she has no memory of him.

Remember your promise and let her go.

He stroked a wayward lock of hair behind her ear and slid his fingers down her silky cheek. She nuzzled him, turned her face into his palm and kissed him. Every noble intention evaporated like a bead of sizzling water in a hot skillet. Cock rock hard, he had to kiss her, feel her breath on his skin, in his body. In the deserted park, he needed her now.

The fine hairs on the back of his neck bristled and he froze.

I hope you enjoyed it. Now check out the rest of the series.

Cursed for 2000 years, Roman Nicolis has tracked his lovers’ soul through each reincarnation only to lose her horribly every time. Reclaiming their love is his only salvation. He’s been her friend, her father, her neighbor, but never again her lover . . . until now.

A late night walk home throws Stella Walker into the path of a killer. The last thing she remembers are the deep blue eyes of the man trying to kill her—and the first things she sees after a seven-day coma are the same blue eyes in the handsome face of the man hired to protect her. Is he truly the owner of a security firm or the man who wants to finish her off? Is it fears she feels when Roman touches her or the memory of something sweeter?

Past secrets haunt them. An angry demon stalks them.

Roman will do anything to recover what they once had. Though Stella’s ruined childhood has made her close her heart and body to any man, he must get past the walls around her to gain her love and trust, for it will take their union to defeat an unexpected enemy sent from the Egyptian Gods. A man Romans respects, and Stella trusts.

Time for a My Sexy Saturday post. Here is an excerpt from my latest manuscript, Descendants of Ra Book 4.

Her finger traced a pattern on his arm, which sent a shot of lust down his spine.

“Boy, you’re easy to talk too…when you can’t answer back.” A dry laugh escaped, and quickly dropped to a sigh. “Never thought I would miss the sound of someone’s voice.” The back of her hand stroked his cheek and slipped under his chin. She leaned closer. So close her breath fanned his lips. So close her amethyst eyes were all he could see.

Damn he wanted to taste her, slide his tongue between her parted lips, and draw her breath into his lungs. Just once, to quiet the question that suddenly needed an answer. He couldn’t move, not without her permission.

The smaller wiser, saner part of his brain raised a red flag and threw out query. After the kiss, then what? Fuck her? Kill her? Both or neither, what’s the game plan? Exit strategy?

Ridley closed her eyes, shook her head, and pulled away to move her food around her plate. He heard the word stupid mumbled under her breath and had to agree. From one to ten, them kissing had to be level fifteen stupid. Yet he’d never claimed to be a rocket scientist. The thought of being stupid with Ridley Cross had his blood humming. He watched as she chowed down her food in record time and push away from the breakfast bar.

“I’m going to check out our loot while you finish eating.” She stomped away.

EJ obeyed the order with gusto until a gasp came from the bedroom, then a strangled scream. “No! Noooo!”

MID WEEK TEASE DECEMBER 2, 2015

MWTease151

Happy Holidays! Welcome to my Mid Week Tease.  Here is a sample of my latest manuscript Encore: Descendants of Ra Book 4. A little setup: EJ Nicolis doesn’t have his free will. All he can do is listen to Ridley Cross, the woman who has kidnapped his body along with his heart, share thoughts she would never impart if she knew he understood every word.

“I used to watch you. I mean, the Order assigned me as your Watcher.”

Now that piqued his interest. When and where? He wanted details.

Her hand lingered on his arm as she stared into his eyes. “You were in Brazil protecting a diplomat’s kid.”

He remembered that assignment. The teenage son had been a spoiled dick.

“You killed two men who had tried to kidnap him. Double tap between the eyes fifty yards away before they got the kid in a van. No fuss. No mess. Easy clean up.”

EJ remembered. Then he went after the guy who hired them. That had been messy. Took a few days for the bullet hole in his shoulder to heal. Took longer for his mother—AKA Avery—to stop chewing his ass off.

“The kid was a basket case, but the father couldn’t thank you enough. He gave you a pouch with loose uncut diamonds inside. You refused the gift. I always wondered why.”

How could she know that? He remembered the meeting in the private office inside the embassy. Four people were in the room with him, the diplomat, two embassy guards, and a female aide serving coffee and sandwiches. He hadn’t paid the woman much attention other than a cursory glance. Now he wished he had. Maybe then they wouldn’t be on this collision course.

My Sexy Saturday 8/29/15

Welcome to My Sexy Saturday post! Today, I’m share 7 sentences from my latest work in progress, the 4th novel in my Descendants of Ra series, Encore. Meet EJ Nicolis. He’s a descendant of Ra, a mercenary and a prisoner of the sexiest woman he’s ever met.

cropped-bigstock-extreme-bodybuilding-53457367.jpg

Day One.  EJ Nicolis sat zombified in a ratty tan Barcalounger. The planned destruction and death of one person gave him focus and kept him sane. It didn’t matter how fine her ass was in the red tartan mini. Or how her thighs peeked all milk creamy between the slats of the skirt. Or how freaking sexy her candy apple red patent leather knee-high Doc Marten’s gleamed in competition with pouty red lips and her amethyst eyes. As soon as he freed himself from his forced servitude—Ridley Cross was a dead woman.

Hope you enjoyed it. Be sure to check out the first 3 novels in the Descendants of Ra series available on AMAZON

Here are 7 sexy sentences from EVERLASTING, the second novel in my Descendants of Ra series. Meet Reign Nicolis and Detective Alexis Lever.

Alexis led the way upstairs. Inside her bedroom, she guided Reign to a rattan chair, which groaned under his weight. She backed away and toed off the soggy sneakers, then grabbed the tab of the zipper on her sweater. Slow and steady, the whiz of the descending tab was the only sound in the room. Hands gripping the arms the chair, Reign leaned forward, lips parted, eyes glazed. His gaze traveled with the zipper and then shot to her face.

A wicked smile answered his unasked question. She turned, showing him her back. She shrugged one shoulder free and peeked over it, making sure she had his full attention. His gaze hadn’t left her. Another shrug and the sweater slid to the middle of her back.

The chair creaked.

She didn’t turn around. She let the sweater fall. The pants followed, pooling at her ankles. Maybe she should thank the NYPD for not confiscating her lacy underwear. Bending over, she stepped from the pile of clothing. When she straightened, she knew Reign no longer sat in the chair on the other side of the room.

Heat radiated from him, warming her back. The straps of her bra dangled. She reached behind and with a pinch and twist; the bra fell to the floor. She hooked her thumbs into the sides of her string bikini and shimmied out of them.

Heavy footsteps followed her into the bathroom and stopped when she entered the shower stall. The strip of frosted glass on the shower door hid enough to let the imagination run wild. By Reign’s strained stare, tense body, and the vein pulsing in his neck, he imagined a lot.

Alexis crooked a finger and invited him inside. She didn’t want him to imagine. She wanted him to see.

Happy New Year Teasers! 2015 is going to be great. I’m still sharing excerpts of EVERMORE Descendants of Ra Book 3. And my fingers are busy working on ENCORE book 4 of the series.

This excerpt continues where the last one left off…in the bedroom.

Emeline touched his injured shoulder. His muscles spasmed under her fingers. He groaned, a deep throaty sound. Pulled flush against him, he held her close with one hand splayed on her lower back and the other on her neck. His head dropped to her collarbone, then he licked a trail up to her earlobe and sucked. “Don’t. Stop. Touching,” he growled and the sound reverberated within her.

She couldn’t even if she wanted to. Somehow, some way, she had slipped into his mind. Tumbled down the rabbit hole into a tornado of desire and lust, so violent they snatched her up and carried her away. She was lost in a maelstrom and as her core stretched, begging to be filled, and she did not care.

His mouth bruised her lips with the ferocity of his kiss. Tongue, lips, and teeth assaulted her body until nothing mattered except the ecstasy in his arms.

Through the connection of her palm to his scar, she recognized his hunger because it mimicked her own desires. A moan slipped from her, completely lost in the rampant sensation dragging her willingly toward rapture.

She arched, scored his chest with her rigid nipples, and reached for the towel wedged between them.

He grabbed a fistful of her hair, stalling her intention. Breathing ceased to matter as their tongues glided against each other in a sensual duel neither wanted to win. She slid her hand along the rough skin on his arm. Avery dropped back, propping himself up on his elbows. He groaned again, a deep rumbling sound that egged her on. She dipped her head and laved each of his flat nipples, then scraped her short nails along the ridges of his perfect abs.

He palmed her ass and lifted her off his lap. “Yes. Or no. Tell me now.” Desire slurred his words.

Emeline pointed to the nightstand where she found a box of condoms during her snoop session. She didn’t have to explain. With one arm holding her tight to him, he yanked open the top drawer, sending the contents spilling to the carpet.

She giggled and burst into laughter at his scowl. “I’ll get one.” She scooted back and turned onto her hands and knees, giving him a bird’s eye view of her best asset. He grabbed his shirt and ripped. The two halves fell away from her body. His rough hands traced the curves of her back and the globes of her rear as she searched for a foil packet. A purr rumbled deep in her throat, enjoying the intimate caress. His soft kiss on her flesh had her gasping and leaning back for more of his wicked tongue. It’s not often you find a man willing to literally kiss your ass and she relished every delicious second of his lips and tongue.

MidWeekTease2

It’s the holidays and everyone is busy, hopefully not too busy for a sexy Mid Week Tease! When last we spied on Avery and Emeline, they were in bed. She’d said “No. Sex.” But does that still apply after he has taken her to the edge of passion?

Emeline visibly shook in his arms—and inadvertently rubbed her body all over him, nipples scored his chest, her knees rubbed the inside of his thighs. Somehow, he quelled the raging need and simply held her.

“I’m sorry. This is all so much.” Her breath fanned his skin.

This was too much, too soon. She wasn’t ready and he’d just ruined any chance he may have had. “Never apologize for what happens between us or how you feel.”

Her brow quirked and rose with surprise. “Us? Is there an us?”

No. There isn’t. Push her away, his conscience ordered. Avery dropped his hands. He let her go. Tomorrow he would call McIntosh again and hand over her care. But for too many minutes, neither of them moved.

She squared her shoulders and raised her chin. “There’s a lot about me you don’t know.”

And there was a lot he already did. Her secrets couldn’t be worse than his. “Then tell me.”

She pushed her hair out of her face and looked away “…You may not like it,” Emeline murmured.

He smoothed his thumb over her cheek, trailed it to her jaw and down her neck to the vein pulsing wildly. “…Are you a mass murderer?” A sigh stroked his skin, kept his blood humming.

“No. Not lately.”

“I know you don’t abuse the elderly. Don’t know about children, though.” He got her to smile. A warm grin that caused her cheeks to slightly dimple and quelled the churning sea in his soul. He would have another. “Are you a thief?”

“Nope.” She laughed and lay her head on his chest. “I never expected you to have a sense of humor.”

He rubbed her back, touching the shirt instead of her delicious skin. “And I never expected you.”

Her fingernails traced an excruciating pattern on his pecs. If only she would trail lower, to where he needed her touch the most.

“Is it too much to ask for you to hold me? It’s been a long time since someone held me without wanting something.” She sighed.

Anything for this to continue. Carefully, he wrapped himself around her. Seconds stretched. RockGate may be his residence, the loft doubled as his apartment and escape zone, but Emeline—she felt like home.

Soft lips grazed his neck. Then his jaw. He didn’t move, didn’t dare frighten her away. Hands circled his head and brought him to her.

She nuzzled him, brushed her cheek along his neck, and purred. A throaty sound and so damn sexy it took everything he had to remain still.

Forehead to forehead, he gazed into her eyes. “I don’t want anything you’re not willing to give. I’m here. And I’m not going anywhere.” cropped-mediumevermore.jpg

MID WEEK TEASE ~ Happy Halloween

#MWTEASE Happy Halloween!

halloween tease

In the spirit of Halloween I’ve decided to post a scary snippet from my first novel, Eternity Descendants of Ra Book 1. Meet Roman Nicolis and Stella Walker.

Curled on his body in the middle of Central Park, Roman let Stella sleep. Holding her wasn’t a hardship as his mind wandered to the future, their future. Foolhardy, definitely, but what else could he do when he held the object of his obsession in his arms?

Remember your promise and let her go.

He stroked a wayward lock of hair behind her ear and slid his fingers down her silky cheek. She nuzzled him, turned her face into his palm and kissed him. Every noble intention evaporated like a bead of sizzling water in a hot skillet. Cock rock hard, he had to kiss her, feel her breath on his skin, in his body. In the deserted park, he needed her now.

The fine hairs on the back of his neck bristled. He froze. Battle instincts surged to the forefront, screaming for action, instead, he listened to the night surrounding him and waited. Though not a hub of wildlife, the creatures of Central Park were silent. They also waited. Somewhere, nearby, a predator stalked.

He nudged Stella. She stretched, making him aware of every curve and hollow she possessed, and purred, a sexy rumble deep in her throat. Before she could say a word, he cupped her head and pulled her into a quick kiss.

“Shhh, we’re in danger,” he whispered against her lips.

Her head popped up and she eased off him. In the gloom, her frightened eyes met his. “What?” She mouthed.

“We have to get out of here.”

Crouched low, he took her hand, together they crawled along next to the hedge. He looked over. His keen eyesight picked up nothing and no one. So why did the same excitement he used to get before a battle race through his veins? Stella squeezed his hand. Her wide eyes sent him a question he couldn’t answer.

He drew his gun from the small of his back and the silencer from his jacket pocket.

“Roman?” Her voice wavered.

He spared her a glance. “Whatever happens, do exactly as I say. Understand?”

Her head bobbed on her neck.

“Walk beside me, not in front or behind. Got it?”

Not far from the nearest road, they stuck to the trees and away from the open expanse of the Great Lawn.

Leaves crunched behind them. He’d never run from anything in his life. Even before the curse and his immortality, he stood his ground and killed everything in his path. Now, whatever stalked him, stalked her. His senses told him only one lurked in the darkness, but with Stella to protect, he couldn’t risk it.

The Delacorte amphitheater loomed ahead. He guided her into the shadows. Stationed behind a statue, he aimed and watched the route they had just taken. Stella clutched his jacket, her shivering body pressed close.

“Tell me.”

“There’s someone out there.”

“It could be anyone, ’kids maybe?”

“Maybe.” He agreed purely to reassure her. But as he spoke, one hundred yards away, something peeled away from the shadows of a large tree and charged.

“Stay.” He ordered. Through his jacket, her nails dug into his back. He pulled away, but she wouldn’t let go. He shrugged out of his jacket and advanced. She called to him, begging him to return, but the blood rushing in his ears drown out her voice. He rushed forward and focused on the attacking foe.

Wait. He skidded to a halt. He had a shot, but . . . something was wrong. The height was too short. Whoever ran toward him must be a child—or running on all fours. He squinted at the slice of darkness closing the distance between them. The tree coverage ended and speckled moonlight dotted the Great Lawn, uncovering the thing barreling forward. For a split second his mind tried to unravel the impossible nightmare quickly shrinking the distance, before he fired three shots between its widely spaced eyes. It roared and charged faster.

“Run, Stella!” He fired running back to the theater. She hadn’t listened. Instead of running away, she met him. He grabbed her hand and ran, but she couldn’t keep up and the thing behind them closed the distance.

“Is it him, The Strangler?” she shouted breathless.

They ran past The Preserve, rounded a column and then stopped. Shrouded in gloom, the outline of the pond appeared in front of the Belvedere Castle. He didn’t want her to see what chased them, but before he could stop her, she turned. Her scream pierced the night. Yards away, a bellow replied. He jerked her around and shoved. She stumbled and fell into the water.

“Go!” This time, she didn’t fight. For a second, he watched her swim. Then turned in time for claws to dig into his side.

First Contact! And neither Avery nor Emeline will be the same.

A shift in the air alerted him that he was no longer alone. The hesitant whisper of feet gliding across the carpet revealed his intruder. And her scent. She smelled of him—of sandalwood and the night—mixed with her womanly aura that spiked his blood. A growl rumbled in his throat. Could he not have a moment alone? Maybe if he didn’t move she’d go away and leave him to finish meditating.

Silence stretched painfully until curiosity made him open one eye. She sat in front of him, so close he could count the treasure of gold flecks sparkling in her hazel eyes. Her gaze skimmed his face, leaving a trail of hunger he no longer wanted to deny. Her eyes widened when they dropped to his scars. Pity welled.

“Leave. Now.”

Her gaze shot to his. Questions danced in her eyes. Questions he refused to answer. It would serve no purpose to spill his guts to a woman who considered him damaged, less than any other man. Her hand stretched forward. Avery almost leaned into the touch, he craved her that much. But not while pity surfed in her hazel eyes. He’d have none of it.

“Don’t,” he snarled and grabbed her hand.

“It’s…” Her voice wavered.

He held his breath, waiting for her to finish her sentence with any of the words on his personal list: ugly, grotesque, monstrous.

“Beautiful.”

Huh? He hadn’t heard right. Didn’t she see the scars, ravaged skin, and muscles beneath the ink?

“It’s changed. It didn’t look like this before.”

Shit! Sometimes his Ink did change from one indiscriminate mass to a slightly different indiscriminate mass.

“Now it’s intricate with swoops and swirls. Curlicues.”

Curlicues? Not possible. Her hand kept coming. He’d never let anyone touch it, not even during sex. Yet…he wanted her to touch him—all of him—but that was not going to happen. “I did it to hide the scars. Make it pretty. Didn’t work.” He lied.

Again, her hazel eyes filled with skepticism and her hand kept coming, as if he hadn’t ordered her not to. He was about to push her away when her fingers veered to his face. His breath caught, stilled by the possibilities of the moment.

She traced his face with soothing, lazy fingers. Her eyes, fringed with long, sooty lashes, were focused, intent on the torture she inflicted on his flesh. A gleam of interest sparked in their depths and a sultry smile tugged at the corners of her full lips. He’d dreamed this fantasy, never expected it come true. It was wrong to want more, yet her gaze caressed his skin.

Her hand dropped and she swept her thumb over the slight scar on his forearm, a reminder from the fight with her intruders. A jolt raced through him and he sucked in a startled breath.

She studied the slight demarcation. “Your wound? It’s gone. Want to explain?”

Kiss her, part her soft pouty lips and taste her. He shrugged. “Genetic anomaly. I heal fast.” He waited for more questions, but she surprised him when she cupped his face, and rubbed her palm over his day-old stubble. Desire flooded his system, turning the darkness within him into a sea of need.

Take her. Take what you want. Spread her. Fuck her. Take. Take. Whispered, taunted, and finally screamed. Avery balled his hands and kept them at his sides, anything to keep from humiliating himself. If only he could lock away his unending need, treat her as a client and not the only woman who’d ever made his blood simmer.

If he could do that, then he could walk away, but a little bit of Emeline wouldn’t be enough. And if he couldn’t have all of her, he’d rather have none.

He had to leave.
